A move into profits helped the Aim tiddler to fend off market woes, with shares climbing 18.4% on the day of the results to 5.63p. Turnover was up 39% to £12.2 million, buoyed by several acquisitions including the Hammersmith Apollo and Forum venues in London in March, and Mean Fiddler holdings in August last year.
With CD sales falling artists are increasingly looking to live events to boost revenues and the company says it is ideally placed to benefit from this. Post results trading has been ahead of expectations and management is so confident of its future success that co-chief executives Adam Driscoll and Dean James have both invested over 80% of their net 2007-2008 pay in the company.
Shares says: Results show it is progressing well and shares are worth holding on to.
