Television shopping specialist Ideal Shopping (IDS:AIM) has admitted to talks, believed to be with a private equity house, over a possible takeover. Ideal is strongly cash-generative and one of only four companies to have a shopping channel on Freeview. Talks are at an early stage but chairman David Williams’s links with Duke Street should fuel speculation. Rhys Williams of Arbuthnot believes an exit price would be 280p-290p. Jose Marco-Tobares of Numis has a 320p target. EPS is forecast to grow to 21.8p this year.
