Scottish & Southern Energy will increase its residential energy prices from 1 April.
Electricity prices will go up 14.2%, with gas bills increasing 15.8%. Scottish & Southern cited wholesale energy prices as the cause of the rise.
Since March 2007, electricity prices have gone up 90% and gas 100%.
Alistair Phillips-Davies, energy supply director at the company, said: 'Energy supply in the UK is changing dramatically, with companies having to operate in volatile markets.'
Scottish and Southern is the last of the six major UK energy suppliers to increase its energy prices since January. Shares in the company remained unchanged at 1,456 pence.
