After the CGT rule changes come the directors’ deals. This week at Goal Soccer Centres (GOAL:AIM), Bill Gow, Morris Payton and Keith Rogers sold shares while their wives bought. Howard Dawe, chairman of house builder Bellway (BWY) in effect transferred shares into his Sipp. Nick Robertson, CEO of ASOS (ASC:AIM), transferred his 13.51% holding into a family trust.
Tim How, retiring CEO of Majestic Wine (MJW:AIM) sold almost half his holding. David Cleevely, non-exec chairman of Abcam (ABC:AIM) raised £2 million by selling 600,000 shares but still holds 10.2% of the equity. Other liability minimisers include Lord Sainsbury, former chancellor Ken Clarke and Ken Morrison, the supermarket founder. Normalcy has now returned.
