China-based provider of content and information management solutions, Geong International, has signed six contracts with three automotive customers worth $1.1 million in the current financial year.
The contracts concern the continued development of solutions based on Geong’s PortalAge content management system and relate to the e-business, dealer management, enterprise information and e-procurement functions Geong has developed for their automotive clients over the last four years.
‘The automotive sector continues to grow rapidly in China and our systems are now being seen as a key component in the industry growth,’ says chief executive Wang Weidong. ‘Signing contracts with existing and new customers confirms the quality of the systems we have already implemented for the existing customers and demonstrates the adaptable, scalable nature the PortalAge platform provides.’
As well as PortalAge for large firms, Geong International’s flagship products include SmartBox for small and medium enterprises and SmartBox Express, which is an entry level platform for very small companies.
The recent contract wins come hot on the heels of a three-month contract with a global provider of next generation telecommunications networks valued at £6 million in the current financial year. Through the deal, Geong is providing and managing several consultants who will assist the client in developing a management system relating to its Global Financial Planning and Risk Management requirements.
